View Article  New Studio Name

I can be, at times, extremely unimaginative. I have for the last 8 years or more used 'Victoria Lovell Ceramics' for my studio name. Mainly because, I could not really think of anything else. The name has always bothered me because, although first and foremost, I am a clay artist, I do work in other types of media as well. So rather than allow myself to be pigeoned-holed by my own studio name I have had an 'Aha' moment. I have renamed my studio...

Brown Hare Studios

Ceramics Jewellery Textiles

The version including the logo can be found on my home page.  I could not get the logo to load onto the blog...give me another eight years and I may be able to sort it out....

"Planning Meeting"

As my artistic director is in a high-powered planning meeting with other High Officials of my entourage, I am currently working all hours to keep up with their demands.

I am involved in several upcoming exhibitions.  Most recently, at the Green Tree Gallery (www.greentreegallery.co.uk) in Borde Hill Gardens.  It is a lovely location and gallery, and well worth a visit, just for the beautiful views of the Sussex Countryside.

I will also be at the Brighton Festival in May and the Steyning Festival in June.  I will post the details soon.

I have four Offical Muses at the last count.  This is Iris. The 'Third' in line to the throne of Top Muse.

These are Amelia (Tan one) and Peabody (the Black one) they are sisters and jointly hold the position of Top Muse.

This is Vir who is the young upstart and fourth in line to the throne, but is trying his hardest to move up the ranks. By showing his versatility, patience, and charisma even under the most trying circumstances.

Here are some photos to show how my work was displayed in that beautiful setting.  It was just the perfect backdrop.

Indeed, it was so perfect infact, that it used to be (or maybe still is!) an old rabbit warren.

A splendid time was had by all!!

Thank you to all of those who visited (braving the weather) and made the exhibition a successful one!

Which he continues to refine and develop....
